Our Board Members are passionate business leaders who share a common ideal for the youth of Lebanon. It is thanks to their strategic direction and enthusiastic support that we have been able to achieve our successes to date.
Mr. Michel Fattal
Chairman, INJAZ Lebanon & Senior Vice President, Fattal Group
Michel Fattal is the Senior Vice President of Fattal Group, a 4th generation family business headquartered in Lebanon specializing in the distribution of FMCG and healthcare products in the MENA region. Michel oversees the FMCG businesses outside Lebanon. He is also the Chairman of Assurex, a top-tier insurance and reinsurance company in Lebanon.
Michel strongly believes in entrepreneurship and work readiness education to address unemployment and build a brighter future for Lebanon’s youth. He is the Chairman of INJAZ Lebanon, and a member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation and has served as the CSR Officer on the MENA YPO board.
Mr. Michel Sawaya
Vice-Chair, INJAZ Lebanon & Director, Citibank Lebanon
Michel Sawaya, Director of Citibank Lebanon, has been with Citi since 1995 and has held a number of senior positions during his two decades with the company. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the American University of Beirut.
Michel maintains active involvement in several community services and business development organizations. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors for INJAZ Lebanon and for AMCHAM - American Lebanese Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Foreign bank Committee at the Association of Banks in Lebanon.
H.E Raymond Audi
Chairman, Bank Audi
H.E. Raymond Audi is a banker who, with his family, developed the centenarian family enterprise, Bank Audi (1962), of which he is currently Chairman of the Board.
Raymond is a patron of the arts. He has received 15 honourable distinctions since 1971, and he is very concerned with environmental issues and quality of life in Lebanon, dedicating a significant part of his time to bettering the country and preserving its heritage. In addition to being a Board Member at INJAZ Lebanon, he also engages with other institutions namely: UNICEF, UNDP, Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Help Lebanon
Mr. Eddy Cherfan
CEO, AC Holding
After gaining experience in channel and product management, Eddy Cherfan took the management reins of Cherfane, Tawil & Co. - CTC, Samsung Electronics distributor in Lebanon - and A.C Holding (parent company of CTC) in 2006 at the age of 25 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer.
Regional expansion in Syria, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and West Africa, as well as horizontal diversification, were the stepping stones of his strategy, resulting in a five folds’ revenue increase during the past few years.
Eddy will continue his relentless and aggressive perusal of best business practices, to position the Group as both a market leader and business innovator.
Mr. Jihad Chidiac
Country Manager, Aramex Lebanon
Jihad Chidiac is part of Aramex, a leading company in transportation and logistics in Lebanon and worldwide.
Jihad joined Aramex team three decades ago in 1986 as a financial manager. Shortly after, given his extensive experience in many facets of Aramex, he was selected to set up new Aramex stations in North Africa namely Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia.
Jihad was then transferred in 2012 back to head Aramex Lebanon as the current Country Manager.
Jihad pursued his degree in finance.
Mr. Raffi Demirjian
Chairman, Demirjian Global
Raffi Demirjian is the chairman of Demirjian Global, a leading international steel trading company.
In addition to being on the INJAZ Lebanon board, he is also the Regional Chair of Middle East and North Africa for the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and has served on the board of the Beirut Traders Association since 2002.
Mr. Michel Doumet
Executive Officer, Matelec Group
Michel Doumet is an executive officer at Matelec Group, a company specializing in power and electricity and part of his family business involved in energy, chemicals and mining.
He also cofounded with his sister an online website (Lebelik.com) that sells fashion items from Lebanese designers.
Michel holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the American University of Beirut and two master’s degrees in applied physics and business administration (MBA) from Columbia University.
Mr. Basel Eltell
Levant Vice President, MasterCard Worldwide
Basel Eltell is the Market Manager for MasterCard Levant, managing all aspects of its government, public sector, and marketing initiatives. He has been instrumental in growing the regional MasterCard market share and footprint. Basel previously worked as the Senior Division Head for Sales at the Cards and Electronic Payments Department at the Emirates National Bank of Dubai, and was the Regional Director for MoneyGram in the Middle East and Indian Sub-Continent (1999–2005). He also held various positions with major financial services and banking.
Dr. Talal Jaber
Professor and Attorney, Jaber Law Firm
Dr. Talal Jaber is currently a lawyer and a managing partner at Jaber Law Firm, established in 1929. He is also a consultant and lecturer of Business Law, Business Ethics, and International Business Law at the American University of Beirut, Lebanese American University, La Sagesse University, and a guest lecturer at the University of Montpellier (France).
He is the author of four books and many articles that are used as reference in Law and Business programs in top tier Lebanese universities.
Mr. Kamal Katra
Deputy District Governor, Rotary Lebanon
Kamal Katra is the Deputy District Governor of Rotary International (Lebanon). Previously Kamal served as Vice President of Merrill Lynch International and worked in Merrill Lynch offices in Kuwait, Dubai, and Bahrain before becoming the Beirut Financial Consultant for the firm between 1984 and 1997. After that he assumed the position of Branch Operating Manager for Merill Lynch Lebanon.
Kamal is a founding member of INJAZ Lebanon and secretary of the board. In addition Kamal is also a founding member of the International Fellowship of Rotarian Scouts. He is also a Board Member of the Hiking Club du Vieux Sentier.
H.E Joseph Maalouf
Senior Partner, Beyond Consulting and Training
H.E Joseph Maalouf is the founding partner of the Canadian company, Effiqual / Designed Learning Canada, and of the sister Lebanese consulting firm, Beyond Consulting & Training.
Joseph engages the heart and mind at work. An engineer, a business man and a poet come together to invite people and organizations to invest in truly holistic learning experiences, which is why he is a Board Member of INJAZ Lebanon. Joseph has been a Member of the Lebanese Parliament since June 2009.
Mr. Jean-Claude Noujaim
General Manager, Metlife Lebanon
Jean-Claude Noujaim has joined Metlife in 2007 as the General Manager. Prior to his association with Metlife, he worked as the Managing Director of ACE Europe, Egypt from 2001-2007 and as Senior VP at ACE Europe, Hungary from 2000 to 2001. From 1989-2000, he held several top managerial positions at American International Group (AIG) in different countries in Europe.
Jean-Claude graduated from North Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1982 and got his Masters in International Management degree from the American Graduate School of International Management Arizona, in 1984.
